hair straight from the packaging, Don't mind that hair in the back, its old old virgin hair that i whipped out to compare textures.

hair after being finger combed and shook out, those dry ends
Processed, I halace frontway want to keep it cause I had plans to take my braids out and install it this weekend.
I hate being wrong

Always order your hair longer than you need, an extra 1-2 inches, so you can trim the ends if need be, A lot of the tangling issues come from ladies holding on to overprocessed ends, Trim the dry ends then cowash again and see how it turns out.

Sheena's Hair Emporium

Postby NubiaDeuce » Thu Aug 15, 2013 8:09 pm

I have so much to say, but I'm waiting to speak with her first, I called her and have not heard back so i will send an email, I really don't want to though because I would rather explain everything over the phone, I still think the woman is nice and I hope she understands where I'm coming from,
I'm not even mad that the hair is processed, It is my belief that ALL indian "curly" has been processed to achieve that pattern, Ive never once in my life met and curly head indian and I have worked in IT with plenty of Indian women over the course of my career, I am upset that it has been processed so much that the ends are dry and it stinks, and those 2 things have me afraid that the hair wont last as long as I need it to, I also could have tried to fool with a CV to get the same hair for cheaper had I of known the quality I was going to receive, *sigh* woe is me, but I deserve this BS for buying hair that no one on loong had reviewed,

Here's a pic from this morning,

This pic is from today, I have like 6 different products on the hair cause I didnt want to wash it and have to deal with trying not to get my leave out wet, I just kept loading it up with diff stuff im so slow. I'm going to go to the store and get a spray bottle so i can wet it outside of the shower,

Pic of my attempted blending, I was in a rush this morning and did this blending over what I had done the day before, Tomorrow I'm going to completely straighten my hair and then go over it with my 3 barrel crimper or waver thingy,

I just wanted to lighten the mood.
But all jokes aside, Nubia I hope you can work something out because clearly that product is
not up to par, ; when it comes to AVs they need to have spectacular customer service.

Thank you, I knew i should have just hushed up from the beginning, but every single picture ive seen of the hair installed has been gorgeous and just what I am looking for, I'm sure its fine for processed hair, but why sell it as virgin? Idk, but I will be in contact with Ms, Shena tomorrow.

I agree with the person who said add more tracks in ur leave out area, It would probably be easier if u didn't have as much hair out to try to blend in, I would personally just leave enough out to cover the tracks, Hope that helps!

Sheena's Hair Emporium

Postby NubiaDeuce » Thu Aug 15, 2013 8:09 pm

I spoke with Shena on Friday and I am happy now, She worked with me to make sure that we reached a place where I was comfortable with the hair, I hadnt washed or combed the hair before speaking with her, but after we reached an agreement I washed and conditioned the hair, trimmed the ends and I think im in LOVE!
This hair is just what I was looking for as far as pattern? Its curly and pretty, but not too big and doesnt swell and lose its shape, Its super soft, but the ends that I havent cut (cause I wanted all my length! ) do tangle, I have had noooo shedding, but I sealed the wefts Friday night with Mod Podge),
I will say that when I use gel on it (Herbal Essence) it dries out and looks crunchy (to me), I havent straightened it yet, but I will soon just to see how if it goes back to its original curl pattern,
Shena did see the thread here, so she was aware of everything I said before we spoke, I'm still happy with her and now I am happy with my hair, I guess the best part of dealing with Shena is not having to deal with loong or a CV, The quality of my hair looks to be the same as what I saw on YT and all of the other pictures of people I saw with this hair, I will definitely be keeping this in for a while, Now im off to see product reviews for curly hair!

after fingercombingnote: I did feel a residue on the hair while fingercombing, My guess is that the hair was cowashed before packaging, While rinsing the hair in my bowl, my guess must be correct because of the suds that formed before adding anything to the water.

after cowash. The hair feels very nice, I will work on the smell next, I haven't decided if I am going to keep the hair or try to sell it because Sheena will not refund my purchase and I don't think the exchanging will do any good, If I do decide to keep it I will post updates, Hope this helps anyone interested in their hair, I think it's nice, to the touch, however for the price, it is definitely not worth it at this point in time for ME,

Postby NubiaDeuce » Thu Aug 15, 2013 8:09 pm

Before I spoke with Shena over the phone I had pretty much decided that I was going to keep the hair, I was in the middle of taking down my box braids and I was going out of town the next day after my hair appt.
On Thursday I called the # listed on the site and left a message and then also emailed her and I didnt get a response until I remembered she had given me her personal (?) cell number and I called that and she answered and we spoke, Even though she doesnt typically offer refunds, she gave me the option of returning the hair and getting all of my money back, I decided not to and asked her if she would instead return a small portion of my money because I honestly felt like I overpaid for what I got, We made a deal that I am happy with and after washing and conditioning and trimming most of the ends, I am satisfied with the hair, Its not of the quality that I was expecting, but its also not horrible,
When I first washed it there was a little shedding, but after I sealed I havent dealt with any shedding, Its soft and full of body, I need to take pics of it dry, as all my pics of it are after I get out of the shower

so true, sticking to what you know is better, But you're supposed to be satisfied with your purchase, so i would consider contacting the owner if i were you, Even if she doesn't do anything to solve the problem, and of course they always beef it up for the social networks sites, because thats where most people find out about the hair.

I would clarify all the product out, do a DC, Plop/ plunk the hair, let
it air dry or use a diffuser, Fluff out the curls, For blending maybe
flat ironing then doing a braid/plait out ; see how it works out.
